Oops

So I fell behind. Well, I did have two barbecues in two days because of such lovely, warm, too warm, sweltering, exhausting weather. I'm at about 10,000 words and my aim for today is 12,903. Just a little under 3,000 in one day.

Update on my story, the characters have docked with Aries and have found it empty. Hunter and Garrison aren't happy (very swearingly vocal about this fact) and Charlie's wondering if it was a set up, if the twisting in her gut for the past couple of days has been anything to go by.

Torres has been mentioned more and even has had a little more face time. Go Torres! Rhodes is beginning to get a quiet, thoughtful, honest personality with a strong sense of authority when it counts - being the head Doctor on a ship in space will do that to you.

Sokoloff inspires great optimism in no situation, forever the pessimist who thinks realistically whilst Zach goes for the playful banter of "You're such great fun to have around." The man likes to pretend everything will be alright in the end, even if it's just to make people feel better, and himself.

McCallister has gone quiet, expressing his dislike of Command's acknowledgment that Charlie's crew are troublemakers who only follow the rules when it suits them. But the man screams command and control in the right situations.

And Nelson has been a little quieter recently, playing 'good little soldier' until the time arrives he can patch somebody up or bring up the childishness again.

I'm going to leave this here now whilst I go back to writing the thousands of words I need to get done.
